Broken Age is not a disaster

Rami Ismail posted a great perspective on the Broken Age situation on his blog, pointing out that this revised budget is only 15% off from the original $3 million budget.

Isn’t this exactly the beautiful thing about Kickstarter? That developers don’t have to compromise, like they would’ve if they’d been beholden to a publisher? That we can find new, creative solutions to problems like these?

Instead of holding back, they are trying to give every single one of their backers the maximum amount of game for their money.

Maybe I'm different because I am in software development, but I'm not seeing how this is a huge failure.
